SOURCE OF ENERGY
Food is the fuel that builds and energizes bodies. It comes in three main forms: as protein, Carbohydrate and fats. Protein are vital for the growth and repair of the body. The main source of proteins are meat, fish, eggs, dairy products, beans, peas, grains and nuts. Plant protein individually lack certain substances needed by the body. Carbohydrates include sugars, starch and glycogen,. Bread potato, rice , wheat , sugar, honey, fruit, jam, liver, milk, eggs, and cheese are rich in carbohydrates. Fats are not most concentrated source of energy. They include butter, margarine, lard and cooking oils. and occur in meat, fish, eggs and cream.
