 Aging Effects

Age as well as somatotype and sex, deeply influences body form size and ability. A growth spurt sets in with puberty. Girls stop growing at about 16, boys at 18 or later. Full stature and full muscular strength come by 20s or soon after. Adults tend to gain weight in middle age but through the aging process loose weight and height by their sixties. Strength and other faculties also diminish with age. These changes to the body produce measurable changes in physical performance. By their teens, children show much improved power and bodily coordination. Some swimmers ice skaters and girls gymnasts reach their peak before 20s.
